Welcome to our Southern Region
where
hospitality is our hallmark in diverse, independent ministries

One of our recent ordinations took place in Lexington, Kentucky on August 9th where Janice Sevre-Duszynska was ordained by Bishop Dana Reynolds.
Maryknoll Fr. Roy Bourgeois also attended this ordination. Roy is the first Roman Catholic priest in active service in the institutional church to take a public role in a Roman Catholic Womanpriest's ordination. He has asked the Maryknoll Order to call for a dialogue in the Roman Catholic Church for justice for women in the church.

The Southern Region spans these states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

Ordained women are serving the People of God in many diverse, independent ministries from home-church liturgies to witnessing for peace and justice to serving homeless people.
