Dear Friend of Roman Catholic Womenpriests-USA
What an exciting year it has been! A week before Pope Francis arrived in Pennsylvania, the Women’s Ordination Worldwide (WOW) Conference gathered and at that moment Philadelphia became a city of sisterly love. Over 60 womenpriests joined 500 WOW participants in calling for equality in our church.
In this spirit we ask you to support us as we continue to have the courage to say YES! Yes, to our call to be ordained priests and yes to our call to work toward a renewed Roman Catholic Church.
Your contribution helps develop a fast-growing model of service that offers Catholics a transformed priestly ministry serving vibrant grassroots communities where all are equal and all are welcome. Womenpriests and deacons already minister in over 40 dioceses in the United States and serve 75 worshiping communities. Catholics looking for inclusive communities discover congregations that seek out the marginalized so that the gospel call to justice is lived.
We are grateful for the continued backing of you, our families, friends, and worshiping communities. In spite of what Pope Francis may say that the door to women’s ordination is closed, our movement progresses, grows and thrives! We will keep knocking! We will continue our mission to promote this new model of ordained ministry that is integral to the call for justice for women in the church and the world.
